This is a very interesting topic because I think about this all of the time. There are a lot of people that are needed in the workforce to help keep the economy afloat, but at the same time, I personally don't believe that every worker that is working at this moment in time is considered "essential". I say this because there are a lot of jobs that are not necessarily needed at this point. For example, a bounce house, or an amusement park is not necessarily important for keeping people safe. I understand that people want to do certain activities because they were not able to for long periods of time, but at the same time, lots of people want to do these activities and the risk of getting COVID-19 is much higher. What deems an essential worker is someone that is necessary for everyday activity. Someone that is used every single day, but I personally don't believe that every person that is in the workforce is considered "essential".
