Module 3:Getting to know others

Please answer each question and share your answers with your group members:

·     Give an example of something you've done this week that you feel proud of.

·      If you were not in this meeting right now, what would you like to be doing?

·      If you could eat any dish right now, what would it be?

·     Where would you most like to go on vacation?

·     Please show your home on google maps and describe your environment: E.g. Do you live in the city center?

·      Share a tour of your hometown via YouTube video

·      Share a tour of your school

I am not sure I would require everyone of these but give the students the options to choose say 4 or 5 out of these. So many options allow students to reveal something about themselves just by the choices they make to start.

The questions are really good to have an imaginary picture of who is the other person. The question I like most is sharing of your home because that is where the first lessons start.

Thank you! Very good point. Maybe they can choose two of them among the first 4 and the last 2 questions. The 5th question would be a required one. I agree that what they choose to answer reveals something about them.

I agree with Margaret. These are all wonderful questions and/or prompts, and they would, indeed, reveal a lot about each person, but requiring all of them might be a little overwhelming. At the very least, I would make the tours optional. But the prompts themselves are really good and I think it would lead to a lot of interesting discussion and some surprising points of similarities for the students. Love it!

I like it, Ebru. Maybe they can just do a one to two minute video only, but answering some of these questions in the video and giving the background of their school/home in that same video.
