Nodding's chapter on Multiculturalism and Cosmopolitanism really resonated with me this week, as multicultural curriculum and culturally relevant pedagogy are topics I have devoted a great deal of research to. Many people struggle with how to make curriculum and education multicultural, and it can be intimidating to figure out where to start. The following Ted Talk is one example of a school in Israel that attempted (and succeeded) to create a multicultural educational environment for students from Arab and Jewish families. It is a really interesting watch, and fascinating to see how they overcame prejudice and stereotyping to create something great. Hope you enjoy!
