There is much to be said about indigenous affairs in Canada, particularly why it has taken such a long time to recognize the strife and horror these societies and cultures and to endure. Not only does this give us an insight into populations our western-influenced societies have little to no knowledge about, it is also a great criticism on our culture for it at the same time.
