The Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario passed a motion demanding that the name john A. MacDonald would be removed from Ontario's public schools. The main reason for that motion is the fact that John A. Macdonald as Canada’s first prime minister actively participated in the genocide of aboriginal communities since he was prime minister when Canada accepted the first residential school.
