"What shall we do" discusses how Buddhism teaches that the main "root[s] of evil" are caused by the 3 poisons or 3 fires. Their roots of evil are greed, ill will, and delusion. Definitely, these are some negative characteristics to hold, which is why, right off the bat, I can see why they're called "the 3 poisons".
