This semester, our humanities class, Sustainable Campus: Climate Change, engaged in projects to promote and implement sustainability on John Abbott's Campus. This lead our group to inherit a project that focused on spreading awareness about the threat of bee extinction. We decided to build on this and on an existing collaborative project between Abbott and McGill which saw the creation of "bee boxes" (sandy and woody habitats for native bees) by building flower boxes around the bee boxes in order to increase biodiversity on campus and help attract the bees to the boxes!
