Studies have shown that students with developmental disabilities habitually have challenges with communication, as well as social and emotional learning, which often times lead to social isolation, problematic behaviours and hardships in academic learning. However, music therapy has been gaining recognition as an effective intervention strategy for children with developmental disabilities.
