A Right to Abortion

Pro choice and pro life advocates have polarizing opinions concerning women’s reproductive rights. From a Utilitarian perspective, the optimal choice is to choose the most beneficial outcome for the mother and her child. This concept divides both groups because both believe in both the moral, medical, and social benefits of the outcome they seek. Regardless of the argument for the potential of human life, the right to abortion is essential because of the danger that its prohibition poses to the only legitimate human involved.
