In my opinion, God reacted fairly and with reason to Adam and Eve’s eating from the Tree of Knowledge. Although Eve was influenced by the serpent and then Adam was influenced by Eve, the decision of eating from the tree remains theirs. God created this world giving them all they could ever need or wish for. There was one simple rule they had to follow: do not eat from the Tree of Knowledge. God has a right to be angry at Adam and Eve since they disobeyed him. So, I feel like he has the right to punish them. They should have stayed faithful to his promise.
