Many emotions can be felt when reading the dystopian novel The Circle by Dave Eggers. However, anxiety was a recurring emotion I felt throughout this reading. Anxiety is the feeling of being on-edge. It can be characterized by feelings of tension and worried thoughts. The Circle is presented as the world’s most powerful internet company and so I felt anxious about the power they hold over their employees.
