The novel 1984 by George Orwell, made me feel many different emotions. One of the main emotions I felt was disgust. I was disgusted by everything the Party is doing to the citizens, controlling them every second of every day. At one point in the story, I felt sympathetic towards Winston when he had a nightmare of his father, mother and baby sister. This made me feel the pain he felt. As I continue getting further in this book, I become even more shocked when Orwell’s predictions are so accurate and this makes me realize that there are still so many things that need to be fixed in our society.
