The Circle by Dave Eggers is particularly good at producing specific emotions in the reader. One such emotion I felt while reading the book is discomfort. Often when reading the novel I will visibly back away from the book or make an odd facial expression because of how uncomfortable I am reading certain sections, be this because of an idea or a specific event.
