I recently watched a movie titled “The Hurt Locker”, it is a movie based on one of the U.S. Army’s elite explosive ordnance disposal teams operating in Iraq. Their duty is to successfully disarm bombs before they detonate. These bombs, according to the movie, were placed in strategic places by the Iraqis and most of them had the capacity to kills hundreds or thousands of innocent citizens. The question I asked myself was “why are they placing these bombs that they knew would kill them, their wives, their friends, their neighbors etc.”. The squad teams -who get to save the day- were Americans.
