I recently read an article called "Lily Gladstone Is Holding the Door Open" which was an interview between actress Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon) and New Yorker interviewer Michael Schulman on her role as Mollie Kyle in the movie Killers of the Flower Moon which was a nominee for Best Picture at the Oscars and which Gladstone won a Golden Globe for. Lily Gladstone truly paved the way for many Indigenous actors and actresses and as she puts it “If I’ve kicked the door in, I’m just trying to stand here and leave it open for everybody else.” (Schulman).
