Before I went away for work this summer, my brother gave me a book called As We Have Always Done by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson. I started this book in what is now called Halifax. I was reading it every morning, every morning right after waking up and while eating breakfast. I was reading this book instead of talking with my peers, instead of looking around me, instead of focusing on my environment. Now, post-reading, I would have like to learn the information from this book another way, an experimental way.
