I believe that Bruce Wayne felt a lot of guilt and anger because he couldn’t prevent, nor save every single person from the buildings that were collapsing. Batman acted on anger rather than logic. I believe that Wayne’s justification for wanting to eliminate Superman is that Kryptonians followed Superman to Earth and came to destroy Metropolis.
