When I started my school year at Champlain College, I’ve noticed the school’s sustainability efforts in the school and campus. To begin, Champlain College banned the sale of plastic water bottles, inviting the students to bring their own reusable bottles to minimize the use of plastic. Also, in the cafeteria, the cost of disposable plates is 15 cents, compared to the washable plates that are free.
