Reading the first few lines of this chapter, I think of the relationship between a child and his/her mother. I believe this chapter discusses keeping your innocence (a child-like innocence) and growing up to be free of worries and calm. The mother in this chapter is raising her child, nurturing her child, and aiming to teach her child to have "no expectations of reward" in life and to otherwise be an easy-going and peaceful person.
