Today, after re-reading my chapter, I realized that the word 'light' in the first verse probably does not refer to a source of illumination but rather something that is not heavy, which seems to make more sense in the context of the sentence and the chapter. I also realized that the first two and last two verses are related : the first two explain a sort of rule of thumb and the last ones explain how a ruler must follow these rules.
