After reading this chapter of the Daodejing, my first interpretation/reaction was to the irony of how the chapter starts off. It starts off by talking about certain things and them having the opposite cause as what was wanted. The story is seemed to be from a sages point of view. My interpretation of this chapter is that sometimes for things to be done right it's better to let a person figure it out on their own rather than giving them the answer.
