Through reading this chapter I have learnt that in reality all that everyone wants to do is live peacefully with one another whether it be with their ruler or even spirits. They just want to coexist in the same place and not have any problems with each other. This would connect to the idea of how the doaists tend to leave food out and take care of the spirits grave after an individual has passed, since they want the sprit to be happy and at peace. It also connects to how the people just “do their thing” and stay to themselves and mind their own business.
