The first time I read this chapter, it reminded me of the book I am reading in my french class, it's named Royal. It's about a law student who thinks he's better than everyone and everything turns against him. I think this chapter reminds me of this book because of the sentences Those who brag about themselves are not accorded merit. Those who boast about themselves are not heard of for long. Meaning that if you think you are better than everyone, it doesn't mean you are right and you will lose credibility ate the end.
