Recently, after a night of clubbing, my friend and I were walking through the streets of Montreal, heading to grab a bite to eat. As we passed through a park, we noticed a man, around 30 years old, walking toward us. He seemed desperate, dressed in minimal clothing for the cold and carrying two large, transparent garbage bags filled with empty cans.
