The interior Ministry said that 19 Islamic militants accused of deadly attacks on Egyptian Christians have been killed by the police. The statement said that after the police chased the "fugitive terrorists" into the desert area west of Mingya Province, they were killed in the gun battle. On Friday , seven Coptic Christians were attacked on two buses near the Mingya monastery. The Islamic State organization has indicated that the attack has been carried out. This is the latest in a series of attack by extremists against the Egyptian Coptic Christian minority.
