Daylight Time in January? Canada considered it amid the 1970s oil crisis

For this project, Americans say an extra hour of daylight will save about 150,000 barrels of oil a day. For Canada, they still have some problems for Daylight Time in January. For example, they can't save energy because they will spend more electricity to heat or light. According to the globe and mail, British Columbia initially agreed to adopt daylight time that were in sync with the United States, then pushed back the adoption date to February and then dropped the program entirely. Therefore, the United States needs to coordinate time to reduce the impact on the industry.
