This is a picture of a Tree that I found when doing Geocashing with my family a couple weeks ago in Florida. This was such an interesting tree that of course I had to do my research on it because I am a dental nerd! I found that it is a tree that people used to chew on the bark to help with pain coming from a tooth. It can be very dangerous if not done correctly due to the anesthesia of the bark. It numbs the area to help with the pain. I love visiting Florida and finding new areas to hike.
