Deepfake videos are created by artificial intelligence (AI), which creates videos of people doing or saying things they didn’t do or say in real life. A very common form of deepfake video is created by replacing a person’s face with another, making it appear that the original video belongs to the latter. Although deepfake videos can be used in many good fields such as the arts and entertainment, they have a downside where they can manipulate and slander people, as well as play a big role in the political and financial arenas.
