When touring the garden, I noticed that there were boxes filled with a wide range of plants that were grown with the intention of feeding animals. The majority of the plants inside the boxes have already been consumed, as can be seen in the image. This suggests that the animals are in fact using them to nourish themselves and are taking advantage of the opportunity.
