We've been taught as kids that flowers bloom ONLY in spring. Well, that's a stereotype. You'd expect most of them in your garden to grow at spring, but some are the "Waldos" in the flower bed. Flowers like this yellow one in the picture is a late bloomer, opening up in mid-September. Although the flower is small, it stands up very tall while the typical spring flowers are wilting and waning. A very powerful plant that boldly rises during the season when the plants and tree leaves fall/die. The garden is not dead yet, don't look away yet! Spring time is not the garden's only blooming season!
