Throughout the book, Tara introduces us to many aspects of her life, that weren't necessarily what we were taught or how we were raised during our childhood. I learned many things about Tara while reading her magnificent novel. Some of which I agree with and others that wouldn't. Tara's family has always been close together no matter what happens, sticking by each other even when Shawn would get physical with her, or when an accident happened and Tara would leave everything that she would be doing and go see if they were ok.
