Thomas berry states that The Philosophers of the Enlightenment use humans for labour as if they were tools. Those settlers use and abuse the earth for its resources and instead of wanting the world to prosper for billions of years these settlers decide to make people work to get themselves wealthy, which in turn slowly killed the earth.
