I will be analyzing how Americans identify with the Holy Land, in in a variety of ways (for example; through traveler’s journeys to the Holy Land). This information will be synthesized through Prime Suspect: William Cowper Prime in the Holy Land and the Identity of ‘an American’ in Harper’s New Monthly Magazine, 1848 by David L. Kennedy and Brett D. Hirsch. Alongside with a few notations from the American Palestine by Hilton Obenzinger.
