Around the world, food production is exceeding the global population’s consumption. That being said, it is crucial to wonder why 957 million people are currently undernourished (UN World Food programme’s live Hunger Map, 2021). In fact, this issue is justifiably second on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, their purpose being to "end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture". Sadly, a higher proportion of the population has been dealing with poverty since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
