The CDC has an article, “What Is Breast Cancer Screening?” on the types of breast cancer screening, and the purpose and importance of it. The biggest issue involving breast cancer screening is a lack of education and knowledge, which is why the participants – the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control, and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention – focus on this issue.
