Kelonia is an organization that participates in research for the protection of marine turtles in La Réunion and the Indian Ocean. They save turtles that have been injured by fishnets, plastics, and boating accidents. They treat the turtles and care for them during their recovery so they can return to the ocean when they are strong enough. I was honored to visit this organization.
