In my opinion, even though the relationship between Tara and her father is sometimes toxic, he loves her with all his heart and wants to protect her at all costs. However, I think he is doing it wrong. He doesn't show her the love he feels for her and sometimes acts too harshly or even unkindly. He raises his daughter according to her values and beliefs but harms her by doing so. For example, Tara’s father doesn’t want her daughter to go to school or to the hospital for treatment.
