Digital Photography is widely available to most people on the planet. The proliferation of the "selfie" has been predicated on this access. Thinking about Cindy Sherman's series of “not” self-portraits inspired my publication image. Sherman’s work is fascinating because technically, they are all self-portraits, but at the same time, not precisely because Sherman becomes characters outside of herself. One could also say that all these characters embody versions of Sherman’s personality and are a testament to the complexity and depth of individuals.
