I selected Banksy’s work “Swing Girl” which he painted in Los Angeles, on the side a building overlooking a parking lot. The artwork depicts a young girl on a swing, swinging from the letter “A” in the PARKING sign on the building. The “ING” in the word parking is faded, leaving the word “PARK” in bright red. I chose to focus on this work because I was immediately intrigued due to my own opinions about the relationship between people, cars, and our planet.
