To me, the talk with Valerie Karonhiatakwen Gabriel was eye-opening. Sadly, the government has always suppressed the voice of Indigenous people, so I unfortunately knew little about their culture. I learned how important sustainable agriculture is for them but also how a capitalist country that is focused on making money is a huge obstacle for their culture.
