The presentation was eye opening and showed me a side of indigenous agriculture that I had not been shown. All students learn about the three sisters of indigenous agriculture in high school but most never get to see the elements that were presented by Valerie Karonhiatakwen Gabriel in this presentation. It is important to learn about and acknowledge the origins of permaculture in Canada.
