In 2003, Michael Jackson was accused of several counts of sexual abuse and molestation of children (NPR). Although he was deemed innocent, in 2019, after the release of HBO’s “Leaving, Neverland” which chronicles the sexual abuse allegations that were posed against Jackson, Jackson’s music started to lose airtime amongst many radio stations.
