This article discusses about how scientists have produced a drug that can kill antibiotic-resistance bacteria by initiating the body’s immune system. The drug sticks to bacteria to weaken it while also acts as a signal for antibodies to rush forward to attack and the bacteria are destroyed by the white blood cells. Experiments carried out on parasitic worms with Pseudomonas – a common cause in pneumonia – and the result was a success as the bacteria were completely wiped out by the drug.
