In this story, objectivity is not as important as it would be in other historical pieces. Much of the information that is lost in the book is lost from the author's own memory, which is understandable as it takes place during an early part of their life. As a reader, I believe that objectivity would be much more important in memoirs that take place in the midst of larger, more well-documented events, as to not skew the already established truth.
