I think one of the greatest sustainability initiative Dawson has implemented is going Carbon Neutral. And one of the most amazing thing about the non-profit Taking Root that the college is working with is how it is also helping people personally. It fascinated me to learn about this model of growing trees to remove carbon from the atmosphere and about how it boosts the income of individual farming families and provides economic stability to low-income, rural communities.
