The image captures a manmade outdoor pond, where birds, insects and many dehydrated squirrels gather to find water and habitat. Unlike many other places on campus where they mow and manicure the lawn and fill up groundhog holes with poison, this water based ecosystem lets non-human beings live and be free. The pond in this ecosystem invites animals, birds, and insects to thrive so we can enjoy it together. The pond is also surrounded by a natural fence made from willow trees which creates a boundary around it but doesn’t harm any animals in the process.
