My group has decided to work on the sustainable development goal #1 no poverty. We specifically wanted to focus on how poverty increases gang violence in Latin/Hispanic communities, specifically the communities Little Village and Back of the yards. We chose to target Latin/Hispanic communities since our group identifies as Latin/Hispanic helping us have an emotional connection to the people. We also chose the communities Little Village and Back of the yards since they are communities that are gang infest the most. They are communities with high poverty rates and violence rates.
