Self-driving cars grew a lot in the market over the last decade. It can drive more carefully and efficiently, but what about the critical moments where a moral choice must be made on someone’s life like an inevitable car crash. It can’t decide who deserve to be saved and who doesn’t, but it can drive more safely to avoid accidents by the driver’s fault. In this paper, I will summarize my article on self-driving cars while explaining its moral dilemma and develop on Bentham and Mill’s potential approach on this problem.
