Planned obsolescence is a major problem that affects the quality of our environment, with goal to increase wealth of manufacturers. If we want to have a sustainable environment for future generations, legislation should be put in place to restrict companies from making products that are planned to fail. It would contribute to a cleaner planet, while also cutting jobs, decreasing wealth and restricting technological innovations.
