Social inequalities exist between ethnic or religious groups, classes and countries making the concept of social inequality a global phenomenon. India is diversified country but social inequalities have existed from the ancient past and still continuing in this 21st century people still discriminate on the basis of caste, parents still prefer boy child, and social inequality is linked to racial, gender, and wealth inequality. In my country person’s social background is defined by their parent’s economic status, social class, and cast which too influences that person’s opportunities in life.
